Olja och bröd inför Herren
1-2 Herren sa till Mose: Säg till Israels folk att skaffa fram ren olivolja,
3-4 så att ljusstaken av rent guld, som står utanför förhänget och stänger vägen till det allra heligaste, alltid kan brinna. Varje morgon och kväll ska Aron fylla på ny olja och se till vekarna. På denna ljusstake ska en evig låga brinna inför Herren från generation till generation.
5-8 Varje sabbatsdag ska översteprästen lägga ut tolv brödkakor i två rader, sex i varje rad, på guldbordet som står inför Herren. Bröden ska vara bakade av fint mjöl, och man ska använda fyra liter mjöl till varje kaka. Utmed varje rad ska läggas ren rökelse. Detta ska vara ett eldsminnesoffer inför Herren, till påminnelse om hans eviga förbund med Israels folk.
9 Aron och hans söner ska äta upp bröden på en plats som är särskilt avsedd för detta ändamål. Bröden är eldsoffer till Herren, enligt en av Gud fastställd lag, och de är högheliga.
Straffet för hädelse mot Gud
10 En dag ute i lägret började en man, vars mor var israelit och vars far egyptier, att slåss med en av Israels män.
11 Under slagsmålet förbannade den egyptiske mannen Gud och fördes fram till Mose för att bli dömd. (Hans mor hette Selomit, dotter till Dibri av Dans stam.)
12 Han hölls i förvar till dess Herren visade vad man skulle göra med honom.
13-14 Herren sa till Mose: För ut honom utanför lägret och be alla som hörde honom förbanna mitt namn att lägga sina händer på hans huvud. Sedan ska folket stena honom till döds.
15-16 Säg till Israels folk att den som förbannar sin Gud måste sona detta med livet. Han måste dö. Hela församlingen ska stena honom. Denna lag gäller för både utlänningar och israeliter, när de har hädat Herrens namn. De måste dö.
17 Dessutom måste alla mördare avrättas.
18 Den som dödar ett djur som inte är hans eget måste ersätta det.
19 Ett straff ska alltid utmätas efter den skada som skett,
20 öga för öga och tand för tand. Så som någon behandlar en annan, ska han själv behandlas.
21 Jag säger det igen: den som dödar ett djur måste ersätta det, och den som dödar en människa måste dö.
22 Ni ska ha samma lag för utlänningar och infödda, för jag är Herren, er Gud.
23 De förde alltså ut mannen utanför lägret och stenade honom till döds, så som Herren hade befallt Mose.

24 El Señor se dirigió a Moisés y le dijo:
2 «Ordena a los israelitas que te traigan aceite puro de oliva, para mantener las lámparas siempre encendidas. 3 Aarón se encargará de arreglarlas, para que durante toda la noche ardan sin cesar delante del Señor en la tienda del encuentro, fuera del velo que está junto al arca de la alianza. Ésta es una ley permanente, que pasará de padres a hijos. 4 Ha de arreglar las lámparas en el candelabro de oro puro para que ardan delante del Señor.
El pan de la Presencia
5 »Toma de la mejor harina y cuece doce tortas, de cuatro kilos y medio cada una, 6 y ponlas sobre la mesa de oro puro que está ante el Señor, en dos hileras de seis tortas cada una. 7 Pon en cada hilera incienso puro, que le servirá al pan como ofrenda de recordación quemada en honor del Señor. 8 Esto deberá ser puesto sin falta ante el Señor cada sábado, como una alianza eterna por parte de los israelitas. 9 Es la parte que les corresponderá siempre a Aarón y a sus descendientes, los cuales deberán comer ese pan en un lugar santo, porque de las ofrendas que se queman en honor del Señor, ésta es una de las más sagradas.»
Castigo para los que ofenden a Dios
10-11 Entre los israelitas había un hombre nacido de madre israelita y padre egipcio. Su madre se llamaba Selomit, y era hija de Dibrí, de la tribu de Dan. Este hombre y un israelita tuvieron una discusión en el campamento, durante la cual el hijo de madre israelita ofendió y maldijo el nombre del Señor. Entonces lo llevaron ante Moisés, 12 y lo tuvieron bajo vigilancia mientras el Señor les decía lo que tenían que hacer. 13 Y el Señor le habló a Moisés y le dijo:
14 «Saca del campamento al que me maldijo; que pongan la mano sobre su cabeza todos los que lo oyeron, y que lo maten a pedradas todos los de la comunidad. 15-16 Por lo que toca a los israelitas, diles lo siguiente: El que ofenda y maldiga el nombre del Señor su Dios, tendrá que cargar con su pecado y será muerto a pedradas por toda la comunidad. Tanto si es extranjero como si es natural del país, si ofende el nombre del Señor, será condenado a muerte.
17 »El que le quite la vida a otra persona, será condenado a muerte.
18 »El que mate una cabeza de ganado, tendrá que reponerla: animal por animal.
19 »El que cause daño a alguno de su pueblo, tendrá que sufrir el mismo daño que hizo: 20 fractura por fractura, ojo por ojo, diente por diente; tendrá que sufrir en carne propia el mismo daño que haya causado.
21 »El que mate un animal, tendrá que reponerlo. El que mate a un hombre, será condenado a muerte.
22 »La misma ley vale tanto para los extranjeros como para los naturales del país. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.»
23 Moisés habló entonces con los israelitas, y ellos sacaron del campamento al que había maldecido a Dios, y allí lo mataron a pedradas. Lo hicieron los israelitas tal como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.

The Lamp and the Bread of the Sanctuary
24 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you (A)clear oil from beaten olives for the [a]light, to make a lamp [b]burn continually. 3 Outside the veil of the testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the Lord continually; it shall be a permanent statute throughout your generations. 4 He shall keep the lamps in order on the (B)pure gold lampstand before the Lord continually.
5 “(C)Then you shall take fine flour and bake twelve [c]cakes with it; [d]two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake. 6 And you shall set them in two rows, six to a row, on the (D)pure gold table before the Lord. 7 You shall put pure frankincense on each row so that it may be (E)a memorial portion for the bread, an offering by fire to the Lord. 8 (F)Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before the Lord (G)continually; it is an everlasting covenant [e]for the sons of Israel. 9 And (H)it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the Lord’s offerings by fire, his portion forever.”
10 Now the son of an Israelite woman—his father was an Egyptian—went out among the sons of Israel; and the Israelite woman’s son and an Israelite man had a fight within the camp. 11 And the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the (I)Name and cursed. So they brought him to Moses. (Now his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.) 12 Then they put him in custody, waiting for Moses to give them a clear decision in accordance with (J)the command of the Lord.
13 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 14 “Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and have all who heard him (K)lay their hands on his head; then (L)have all the congregation stone him. 15 You shall also speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘(M)If anyone curses his God, then he will bear the responsibility for his sin. 16 Moreover, the one who (N)blasphemes the name of the Lord must be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The stranger as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
An Eye for an Eye
17 ‘Now (O)if someone [f]takes any human life, he must be put to death. 18 But (P)the one who [g]takes the life of an animal shall make restitution, life for life. 19 If someone injures his neighbor, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him: 20 (Q)fracture for fracture, (R)eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a person, so shall it be [h]inflicted on him. 21 So the one who [i]kills an animal shall make restitution, but (S)the one who [j]kills a person shall be put to death. 22 There shall be only (T)one [k]standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the Lord your God.’” 23 Then Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and they brought the one who had cursed outside the camp, and stoned him with stones. So the sons of Israel did just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
