For among them are those who [a](A)slip into households and captivate [b](B)weak women weighed down with sins, led on by (C)various impulses, always learning and never able to (D)come to the [c]knowledge of the truth. Just as (E)Jannes and Jambres (F)opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, (G)men of depraved mind, [d]worthless in regard to the faith. But they will not make further progress; for their (H)foolishness will be obvious to all, just (I)as was that also of [e]Jannes and Jambres.

For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses, who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth. As Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith; but they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.
