2 Timothy 3:6-9

6 For among them are those who [a](A)slip into households and captivate [b](B)weak women weighed down with sins, led on by (C)various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to (D)come to the [c]knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as (E)Jannes and Jambres (F)opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, (G)men of depraved mind, [d]worthless in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their (H)foolishness will be obvious to all, just (I)as was that also of [e]Jannes and Jambres.

6 For some of these men go into homes and deceive foolish women who are burdened with sins and swayed by all kinds of desires. 7 These women are always studying but are never able to arrive at a full knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and their faith is a counterfeit. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those two men,[a] their stupidity will be plain to everyone.
