2 Timothy 2:8-13
Holman Christian Standard Bible
8 Keep your attention on Jesus Christ as risen from the dead(A) and descended from David. This is according to my gospel. 9 I suffer for it to the point of being bound like a criminal, but God’s message is not bound. 10 This is why I endure(B) all things for the elect:(C) so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.(D) 11 This saying is trustworthy:(E)
For if we have died with Him,(F)
we will also live with Him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign(G) with Him;
if we deny Him, He will also deny us;
13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful,
for He cannot deny Himself.
2 Timothy 2:8-13

A Trustworthy Saying
8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David according to my gospel, 9 in connection with which I suffer misfortune to the point of imprisonment[a] as a criminal, but the word of God is not bound. 10 Because of this, I endure all things for the sake of the chosen, in order that they also may obtain salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 The saying is trustworthy:
For if we died with him, we will also live with him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
13 if we are unfaithful, he remains faithful—he cannot deny himself[b].[c]
