2 Timothy 2:23-26
Revised Standard Version
23 Have nothing to do with stupid, senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kindly to every one, an apt teacher, forbearing, 25 correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth, 26 and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.[a]

2 Timothy 2:23-26
American Standard Version
23 But foolish and ignorant questionings refuse, knowing that they gender strifes. 24 And the Lord’s [a]servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, 25 in meekness [b]correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may [c]recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been [d]taken captive [e]by him unto his will.
