2 Timothy 2:23-26

23 But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife. 24 The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient, 25 in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.

23 But reject foolish and ignorant disputes, because you know that they breed quarrels. 24 The Lord’s(A) servant must not quarrel,(B) but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach,[a] and patient, 25 instructing his opponents with gentleness.(C) Perhaps God will grant them repentance(D) leading them to the knowledge of the truth. 26 Then they may come to their senses and escape the trap of the devil,(E) who has taken them captive to do his will.(F)

23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.(A) 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.(B) 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,(C) 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil,(D) who has taken them captive to do his will.
