2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

⁵This is ^[a]a ^(A)plain indication of God’s righteous judgment so that you will be ^(B)considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you indeed are suffering. ⁶^[b]For after all ^(C)it is only right ^[c]for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, ⁷and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us, ^[d]^(D)when the Lord Jesus will be revealed ^(E)from heaven ^(F)with ^[e]His mighty angels ⁸^(G)in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who ^(H)do not know God, and to those who ^(I)do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. ⁹These people will pay the penalty of ^(J)eternal destruction, ^(K)away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, ¹⁰when He comes to be ^(L)glorified among His ^[f]saints on that ^(M)day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—because our ^(N)testimony to you was believed.

⁵which is ^(A)manifest^[a] evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, ^(B)for which you also suffer; ⁶^(C)since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with ^[b]tribulation those who trouble you, ⁷and to give you who are troubled ^(D)rest with us when ^(E)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹^(F)These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and ^(G)from the glory of His power, ¹⁰when He comes, in that Day, ^(H)to be ^(I)glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who ^[c]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
