⁴ David took from him one thousand chariots, ^[a]seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand foot soldiers. Also David ^(A)hamstrung all the chariot horses, except that he spared enough of them for one hundred chariots.

^26 (A)And Solomon ^(B)gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he ^[a]stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

^16 (A)And Solomon had horses imported from Egypt and Keveh; the king’s merchants bought them in Keveh at the current price.

^28 (A)And they brought horses to Solomon from Egypt and from all lands.
