2 Kings 13:22-25
New American Standard Bible
22 Now (A)Hazael king of Aram had oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz. 23 But the (B)Lord was gracious to them and (C)had compassion on them and turned to them because of (D)His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and He was unwilling to eliminate them or cast them away from His presence until now.
24 When Hazael king of Aram died, his son Ben-hadad became king in his place. 25 Then (E)Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz again took from the hand of Ben-hadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken in war from the hand of his father Jehoahaz. (F)Three times Joash [a]defeated him and recovered the cities of Israel.

22 Aram’s King Hazael had oppressed Israel throughout Jehoahaz’s rule. 23 But the Lord was gracious to Israel and had compassion on them, turning back to them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; he didn’t want to destroy them or throw them out of his presence until now. 24 Aram’s King Hazael died. His son Ben-hadad succeeded him as king. 25 Then Jehoahaz’s son Joash recaptured from Hazael’s son Ben-hadad those cities that Hazael had won in battle from Joash’s father Jehoahaz. Joash attacked Ben-hadad three times and took back these Israelite cities.
