32 (A)In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah King of Israel, began Jotham son of [a]Uzziah King of Judah to reign.

33 Five and twenty years old was he, when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.

34 And he did uprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according [b]to all that his father Uzziah had done.

35 But the high places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the high places: he built the highest gate of the house of the Lord.

36 Concerning the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

37 In [c]those days the Lord began to send against Judah, Rezin the king of Aram, and [d]Pekah the son of Remaliah.

38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father, and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

Jotham King of Judah(A)

32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham(B) son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign. 33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok. 34 He did what was right(C) in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done. 35 The high places,(D) however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there. Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate(E) of the temple of the Lord.

36 As for the other events of Jotham’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? 37 (In those days the Lord began to send Rezin(F) king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.) 38 Jotham rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the City of David, the city of his father. And Ahaz his son succeeded him as king.
