For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who don’t confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist. Watch yourselves, that we don’t lose the things which we have accomplished, but that we receive a full reward. Whoever transgresses and doesn’t remain in the teaching of Christ, doesn’t have God. He who remains in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you, and doesn’t bring this teaching, don’t receive him into your house, and don’t welcome him, 11 for he who welcomes him participates in his evil deeds.

Reject False Teachers

For many deceivers have gone out into the world. They refuse to acknowledge Jesus the Messiah[a] as having become human. Any such person is a deceiver and an antichrist. See[b] to it that you[c] don’t destroy what we have[d] worked for, but that you[e] receive your[f] full reward. Everyone who does not remain true to the teaching of the Messiah,[g] but goes beyond it, does not have God. The person who remains true to the teaching of the Messiah[h] has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you[i] but does not present his teachings,[j] do not receive[k] him into your house or even welcome[l] him, 11 because the one who welcomes him shares in his evil deeds.
