I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came[a] in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we[b] have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

10 If anyone comes to your meeting and does not teach the truth about Christ, don’t invite that person into your home or give any kind of encouragement. 11 Anyone who encourages such people becomes a partner in their evil work.

Reject False Teachers

For many deceivers have gone out into the world. They refuse to acknowledge Jesus the Messiah[a] as having become human. Any such person is a deceiver and an antichrist. See[b] to it that you[c] don’t destroy what we have[d] worked for, but that you[e] receive your[f] full reward. Everyone who does not remain true to the teaching of the Messiah,[g] but goes beyond it, does not have God. The person who remains true to the teaching of the Messiah[h] has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you[i] but does not present his teachings,[j] do not receive[k] him into your house or even welcome[l] him, 11 because the one who welcomes him shares in his evil deeds.
