2 Corinthians 2:14-17

New International Version

¹⁴But thanks be to God,^(A) who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma^(B) of the knowledge^(C) of him everywhere. ¹⁵For we are to God the pleasing aroma^(D) of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.^(E) ¹⁶To the one we are an aroma that brings death;^(F) to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?^(G) ¹⁷Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit.^(H) On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity,^(I) as those sent from God.^(J)

¹⁴Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

¹⁵For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

¹⁶To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

¹⁷For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

¹⁴Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us ^[a]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. ¹⁵For we are to God the fragrance of Christ ^(A)among those who are being saved and ^(B)among those who are perishing. ¹⁶^(C)To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And ^(D)who is sufficient for these things? ¹⁷For we are not, as ^[b]so many, ^(E)peddling^[c] the word of God; but as ^(F)of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.
