11 So then, knowing the (A)fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we [a]have been made manifest to God; and I hope that we [b]have been (B)made manifest also in your consciences. 12 We are not (C)again commending ourselves to you but are giving you an (D)opportunity to boast of us, so that you will have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart. 13 For if we [c]are (E)out of our mind, it is for God, or if we are of right mind, it is for you.

But (B)what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience. 12 (C)We are not commending ourselves to you again but (D)giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward appearance and not about what is in the heart. 13 For if we (E)are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
