16 Therefore we (A)do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our (B)inner man is (C)being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary, (D)light affliction is working out for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we (E)look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

(A)Though our outer self[a] is wasting away, (B)our inner self (C)is being renewed day by day. 17 For (D)this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 (E)as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
