New Covenant Ministry

Now if the ministry that brought death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory,(A) so that the Israelites were not able to gaze steadily at Moses’s face because of its glory, which was set aside, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry that brought condemnation had glory, the ministry that brings righteousness overflows with even more glory. 10 In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was set aside(B) was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.

Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stone tablets,[a] came in glory so that the people of Israel could not gaze at Moses’s face because of the glory of his face, a glory now set aside,(A) how much more will the ministry of the Spirit come in glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation,[b] much more does the ministry of justification abound in glory!(B) 10 Indeed, what once had glory has in this respect lost its glory because of the greater glory, 11 for if what was set aside came through glory, much more has the permanent come in glory!
