The God of Comfort

Blessed be(A) the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies(B) and the God of all comfort.(C) He comforts us in all our affliction,[a] so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as the sufferings(D) of Christ(E) overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.(F) If we are afflicted,(G) it is for your comfort and salvation. Thanksgiving for God’s Compassion and Comfort

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in all affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, thus through Christ our comfort overflows also. But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that is at work in the patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we[a] know that as you are sharers in the sufferings, so also you will be sharers in the comfort.
