2 Corinthians 7:13-16

¹³Because of this, we have been ^(A)comforted.

And besides our comfort, we rejoiced even much more for the joy of ^(B)Titus, because his ^(C)spirit has been refreshed by you all. ¹⁴For if I have ^(D)boasted to him about you regarding anything, I was not put to shame. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so also our boasting before ^(E)Titus proved to be the truth. ¹⁵His ^[a]affection abounds all the more toward you, as he remembers the ^(F)obedience of you all, how you received him with ^(G)fear and trembling. ¹⁶I rejoice that in everything ^(H)I have confidence in you.

In addition to our own comfort, we were even more delighted at the joy of Titus, because his spirit had been set at rest by all of you. ¹⁴For if I have been doing some boasting about you to him, I have never been ashamed of it. Moreover, since everything we told you was true, our boasting to Titus has also proved to be true. ¹⁵His affection for you is even greater as he remembers how obedient all of you were and how you welcomed him with fear and trembling. ¹⁶I rejoice that I can have complete confidence in you.

In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus^(A) was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you. ¹⁴I had boasted to him about you,^(B) and you have not embarrassed me. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting about you to Titus^(C) has proved to be true as well. ¹⁵And his affection for you is all the greater when he remembers that you were all obedient,^(D) receiving him with fear and trembling.^(E) ¹⁶I am glad I can have complete confidence in you.^(F)
