34 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign; he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem.(A) 2 He did what was right in the sight of the Lord and walked in the ways of his ancestor David; he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

34 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for 31 years in Jerusalem. 2 He practiced what the Lord considered to be right, following the example[a] of his ancestor David, turning neither to the right nor to the left.
