Solomon’s Chariots and Horsemen

14 (A)And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen. (B)And he had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and he stationed them in (C)the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. 15 (D)The king also made (E)silver and gold as plentiful as stones in Jerusalem, and he made cedars as plentiful as sycamore trees that are in the [a]Shephelah. 16 Solomon’s import of (F)horses was from Egypt and from Kue; the king’s merchants procured them from Kue for a price. 17 And they [b]imported a chariot from Egypt for [c]600 shekels of silver and a horse for [d]150; and [e]by the same means they [f]exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.

Solomon Given Wealth

(B)He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, whom he stationed (C)in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. 15 And the king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stone, and he made cedar as plentiful as the sycamore of the Shephelah. 16 And Solomon's import of horses was from Egypt and Kue, and the king's traders would buy them from Kue for a price. 17 They imported a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels[a] of silver, and a horse for 150. Likewise through them these were exported to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria.
