35 And after this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly.

36 And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Eziongeber.

37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works.” And the ships were broken up, so that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

21 Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

35 Later, Jehoshaphat king of Judah made an alliance(A) with Ahaziah king of Israel, whose ways were wicked.(B) 36 He agreed with him to construct a fleet of trading ships.[a] After these were built at Ezion Geber, 37 Eliezer son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have made an alliance with Ahaziah, the Lord will destroy what you have made.” The ships(C) were wrecked and were not able to set sail to trade.[b]

21 Then Jehoshaphat rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the City of David. And Jehoram(D) his son succeeded him as king.
