2 Что касается прихода нашего Господа Иисуса Христа и того, как мы будем собраны к Нему, то мы просим вас, братья, 2 не спешите верить всему и не тревожьтесь ни от какого духа, слуха или письма, якобы написанного нами, которые говорят, что День Господень уже пришел. 3 Смотрите, чтобы вас никто не ввел в заблуждение никаким образом: День этот не придет до тех пор, пока не произойдет отступление от Бога и не откроется человек беззакония, осужденный на погибель. 4 Он будет противостоять всему, что называют божеством или святыней, и превозноситься над этим. Он даже займет место в храме Божьем[a] и будет выдавать себя за Бога[b].
5 Разве вы не помните, что, когда я был у вас, я говорил вам об этом? 6 Теперь вы знаете, что сдерживает этого человека, не позволяя ему открыться до того, как настанет его время. 7 Тайная сила беззакония уже в действии, но сначала должен уйти с дороги тот, кто пока еще ее сдерживает[c]. 8 Тогда беззаконник проявит себя. 2 弟兄姊妹，關於主耶穌基督再來和我們到祂那裡相聚的事情， 2 我們現在奉勸你們：無論是什麼靈，或是傳聞，或是冒充我們寫的信，說主的日子已經到了，你們都不要輕易動搖，也不要驚慌。 3 不管別人用什麼詭計，你們都不要上當。因為那日子來臨之前，必有離經叛道的事發生，而那不法之徒，就是那註定滅亡的人也要出現。 4 他會抵擋主，高抬自己超過一切所謂的神明和人們崇拜的對象，甚至坐在上帝的殿中以上帝自居！

2 ¶ Now we beseech you, brethren, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together unto him,
2 that ye not be easily shaken in understanding or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us, as if the day of Christ is at hand.
3 ¶ Let no one deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
4 opposing and exalting himself against all that is called God, or divinity, so that he as God sits in the temple of God, making himself appear to be God.
5 Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And ye know what impedes this now, that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity is already working, except that he who dominates now will dominate until he is taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth and remove with the clarity of his coming:
9 that wicked one, who shall come by the working of Satan with great power and signs and lying miracles,
10 and with all deception of iniquity working in those that perish because they did not receive the charity of the truth, to be saved.
11 Therefore, for this cause, God shall send the operation of error in them, that they should believe the lie;
12 that they all might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but consented to the iniquity.
13 ¶ But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to saving health through the sanctification of the Spirit and faith in the truth,
14 unto which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and retain the doctrine which ye have been taught, whether by word or our epistle.
16 ¶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God, even our Father, who has loved us and has given us eternal consolation and good hope through grace,
17 comfort your hearts and confirm you in every good word and work.

The Man of Lawlessness
2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ(A) and our being gathered to him,(B) we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter(C)—asserting that the day of the Lord(D) has already come.(E) 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you(F) in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion(G) occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed,(H) the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God(I) or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.(J)
5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?(K) 6 And now you know what is holding him back,(L) so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back(M) will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed,(N) whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth(O) and destroy by the splendor of his coming.(P) 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan(Q) works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders(R) that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing.(S) They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.(T) 11 For this reason God sends them(U) a powerful delusion(V) so that they will believe the lie(W) 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.(X)
Stand Firm
13 But we ought always to thank God for you,(Y) brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[b](Z) to be saved(AA) through the sanctifying work of the Spirit(AB) and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you(AC) to this through our gospel,(AD) that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm(AE) and hold fast to the teachings[c] we passed on to you,(AF) whether by word of mouth or by letter.
16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father,(AG) who loved us(AH) and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage(AI) your hearts and strengthen(AJ) you in every good deed and word.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
