Бог вознаграждает щедрость
9 Мне нет нужды писать вам о помощи святым. 2 Я знаю ваше горячее желание помочь, и я даже хвалил вас перед македонцами. Я говорил им о том, что вы в Ахаии готовы были к такому пожертвованию еще в прошлом году, и ваше рвение побудило и их к действиям. 3 Я посылаю к вам братьев, чтобы в этом случае наша похвала о вас не была пустой и чтобы вы оказались готовы, как я и говорил вам. 4 Ведь если македонцы придут со мной и найдут, что вы, о ком мы говорили с такой уверенностью, не готовы, то нам будет стыдно, не говоря уже о вас. 5 Поэтому я посчитал необходимым убедить братьев посетить вас заранее, чтобы завершить сбор пожертвований, как вы сами обещали. Тогда и будет видно, что вы делаете это не по принуждению, а добровольно.
6 Помните: кто скупо сеет, тот скупо и жнет, и кто сеет щедро, тот щедро и жнет. 7 Каждый пусть дает столько, сколько ему подсказывает сердце, не с огорчением и не по принуждению, потому что Бог любит того, кто жертвует с радостью. 8 Бог может обеспечить вас всем, что нужно[a], чтобы у вас всегда было всего в достатке и с лихвой хватало еще на любое доброе дело, 9 как написано:

12 Ваше служение не только помогает нуждам святых, но и вызывает все большую и большую благодарность Богу! 13 И, видя это ваше служение милосердия, люди будут славить Бога за вас, потому что вы верны Радостной Вести Христа, которую вы исповедуете, и делитесь с ними и со всеми тем, что имеете сами. 14 Они будут молиться о вас и будут тянуться к вам, благодаря безмерной благодати, которая дана вам Богом. 15 Благодарность Богу за Его неописуемый дар!

9 Riguardo poi a questo servizio in favore dei santi, è superfluo che ve ne scriva. 2 Conosco infatti bene la vostra buona volontà, e ne faccio vanto con i Macèdoni dicendo che l'Acaia è pronta fin dallo scorso anno e gia molti sono stati stimolati dal vostro zelo. 3 I fratelli poi li ho mandati perché il nostro vanto per voi su questo punto non abbia a dimostrarsi vano, ma siate realmente pronti, come vi dicevo, perché 4 non avvenga che, venendo con me alcuni Macèdoni, vi trovino impreparati e noi dobbiamo arrossire, per non dire anche voi, di questa nostra fiducia. 5 Ho quindi ritenuto necessario invitare i fratelli a recarsi da voi prima di me, per organizzare la vostra offerta gia promessa, perché essa sia pronta come una vera offerta e non come una spilorceria.

ha largheggiato, ha dato ai poveri;
la sua giustizia dura in eterno.
10 Colui che somministra il seme al seminatore e il pane per il nutrimento, somministrerà e moltiplicherà anche la vostra semente e farà crescere i frutti della vostra giustizia. 11 Così sarete ricchi per ogni generosità, la quale poi farà salire a Dio l'inno di ringraziamento per mezzo nostro. 12 Perché l'adempimento di questo servizio sacro non provvede soltanto alle necessità dei santi, ma ha anche maggior valore per i molti ringraziamenti a Dio. 13 A causa della bella prova di questo servizio essi ringrazieranno Dio per la vostra obbedienza e accettazione del vangelo di Cristo, e per la generosità della vostra comunione con loro e con tutti; 14 e pregando per voi manifesteranno il loro affetto a causa della straordinaria grazia di Dio effusa sopra di voi. 15 Grazie a Dio per questo suo ineffabile dono!

9 There is no need(A) for me to write to you about this service(B) to the Lord’s people.(C) 2 For I know your eagerness to help,(D) and I have been boasting(E) about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year(F) you in Achaia(G) were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action. 3 But I am sending the brothers(H) in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove hollow, but that you may be ready, as I said you would be.(I) 4 For if any Macedonians(J) come with me and find you unprepared, we—not to say anything about you—would be ashamed of having been so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers(K) to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift,(L) not as one grudgingly given.(M)
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.(N) 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,(O) not reluctantly or under compulsion,(P) for God loves a cheerful giver.(Q) 8 And God is able(R) to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,(S) you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food(V) will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.(W) 11 You will be enriched(X) in every way so that you can be generous(Y) on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.(Z)
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs(AA) of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.(AB) 13 Because of the service(AC) by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God(AD) for the obedience that accompanies your confession(AE) of the gospel of Christ,(AF) and for your generosity(AG) in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God(AH) for his indescribable gift!(AI)

9 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
