²⁰ In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and earthenware, and some for noble use, some for ignoble. ²¹ If any one purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house, ready for any good work.

The Peaceful Kingdom

² In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? ³ And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. ⁴ And you know the way where I am going.” ^{[a] 5} Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” ⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

³⁵ But he will stand on the top of Mount Zion. ³⁶ And Zion will come and be made manifest to all people, prepared and built, as you saw the mountain carved out without hands. ³⁷ And he, my Son, will reprove the assembled nations for their ungodliness (this was symbolized by the storm), ³⁸ and will reproach them to their face with their evil thoughts and the torments with which they are to be tortured (which were symbolized by the flames), and will destroy them without effort by the law^[a] (which was symbolized by the fire).
