2 Peter 1:13-19

¹³ I think it right, as long as I am in this ^(A)body,^{[a] (B)}to stir you up by way of reminder, ^14 (C)since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, ^(D)as our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. ¹⁵ And I will make every effort so that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.

Christ's Glory and the Prophetic Word

¹⁶ For we did not follow ^(E)cleverly devised ^(F)myths when we made known to you ^(G)the power and ^(H)coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but ^(I)we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. ¹⁷ For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, ^(J)“This is my beloved Son,^[b] with whom I am well pleased,” ¹⁸ we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on ^(K)the holy mountain. ¹⁹ And ^(L)we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention ^(M)as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until ^(N)the day ^(O)dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
