2 Timothy 4:7-18

New American Standard Bible

^7 (A)I have fought the good fight, I have finished ^(B)the course, I have kept ^(C)the faith; ⁸ in the future there ^(D)is reserved for me ^(E)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on ^(F)that day; and not only to me, but also to ^(G)all who have loved His ^(H)appearing.

Personal Concerns

^9 (I)Make every effort to come to me soon; ¹⁰ for ^(J)Demas, having loved ^(K)this present ^[a]world, has deserted me and gone to ^(L)Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to ^[b](M)Galatia, ^(N)Titus to Dalmatia. ^11 (O)Only ^(P)Luke is with me. Take along ^(Q)Mark and bring him with you, ^(R)for he is useful to me for service. ¹² But I have sent ^(S)Tychicus to ^(T)Ephesus. ¹³ When you come, bring the overcoat which I left at ^(U)Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments. ^14 (V)Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; ^(W)the Lord will repay him according to his deeds. ¹⁵ Be on guard against him yourself too, for he vigorously opposed our ^[c]teaching.

¹⁶ At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; ^(X)may it not be counted against them. ¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and ^(Y)strengthened me, so that through me ^(Z)the proclamation might ^[d]be ^(AA)fully accomplished, and that all ^(AB)the Gentiles might hear; and I was ^(AC)rescued out of ^(AD)the lion’s mouth. ¹⁸ The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will ^[e](AE)bring me safely to His ^(AF)heavenly kingdom; ^(AG)to ^[f]Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
