What People Will Be Like in the Last Days
3 You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. 2 People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3 heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything good. 4 They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. 5 Even though they will make a show of being religious, their religion won't be real. Don't have anything to do with such people.
6 Some men fool whole families, just to get power over those women who are slaves of sin and are controlled by all sorts of desires. 7 These women always want to learn something new, but they never can discover the truth. 8 (A) Just as Jannes and Jambres[a] opposed Moses, these people are enemies of the truth. Their minds are sick, and their faith isn't real. 9 But they won't get very far with their foolishness. Soon everyone will know the truth about them, just as Jannes and Jambres were found out.
Paul's Last Instructions to Timothy
10 Timothy, you know what I teach and how I live. You know what I want to do and what I believe. You have seen how patient and loving I am, and how in the past I put up with 11 (B) trouble and suffering in the cities of Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. Yet the Lord rescued me from all those terrible troubles. 12 In fact, anyone who belongs to Christ Jesus and wants to live right will have trouble from others. 13 But evil people who pretend to be what they are not will become worse than ever, as they fool others and are fooled themselves.
14 Keep on being faithful to what you were taught and to what you believed. After all, you know who taught you these things. 15 Since childhood, you have known the Holy Scriptures that are able to make you wise enough to have faith in Christ Jesus and be saved. 16 Everything in the Scriptures is God's Word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live. 17 The Scriptures train God's servants to do all kinds of good deeds.

- 3.8 Jannes and Jambres: These names are not found in the Old Testament. But many believe these were the names of the two Egyptian magicians who opposed Moses when he wanted to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt (see Exodus 7.11,22).

3 你应当知道，末后的日子必有艰难的时期来到。 2 那时，人会专爱自己、贪爱钱财、自夸、高傲、亵渎、悖逆父母、忘恩负义、不圣洁、 3 没有亲情、不肯和解、恶言中伤、不能自律、横蛮凶暴、不爱良善、 4 卖主卖友、容易冲动、傲慢自大、爱享乐过于爱 神， 5 有敬虔的形式，却否定敬虔的能力；这些人你应当避开。 6 他们中间有人潜入别人的家里，操纵无知的妇女。这些妇女被罪压住，又被各种私欲拖累， 7 虽然常常学习，总不能充分明白真理。 8 从前阎儡和阎悖怎样反对摩西，这些人也怎样反对真理。他们的心思败坏，信仰也经不起考验。 9 然而他们不能再这样下去了，因为他们的愚昧终必在众人面前显露出来，好象那两个人一样。

10 但是，你已经了解我的教训、品行、志向、信心、宽容、爱心和忍耐， 11 以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所受的苦和迫害。我所忍受的是怎样的迫害；这一切主都救我脱离了。 12 其实，所有立志在基督耶稣里过敬虔生活的，都必遭受迫害。 13 但恶人和骗子必越来越坏，他们欺骗人，也必受欺骗。 14 你应当遵守所学和确信的；你知道是跟谁学的， 15 并且知道自己从小就明白圣经，这圣经能够使你有智慧，可以因信基督耶稣得着救恩。 16 全部圣经都是 神所默示的，在教训、责备、矫正和公义的训练各方面，都是有益的， 17 为要使属 神的人装备好，可以完成各样的善工。

末後的艱難
3 你應當知道這一點：在末後的日子裡，將有艱難的時候來到； 2 因為人們將會愛自己、愛錢財，又自誇、又驕傲，褻瀆神、悖逆父母、忘恩負義、毫不聖潔、 3 沒有親情、不肯和解、惡意控告、不能自制、殘忍凶暴、不愛良善、 4 背叛出賣、任意妄為、自以為是，愛享樂過於愛神， 5 有敬神的外表，卻否定敬神的實質[a]；這樣的人你要避開。
6 他們當中有些人溜進別人家裡，虜獲無知的婦女。這些婦女被罪孽壓制，被各種欲望牽引， 7 雖然一直學習，卻始終不能達到到真理的知識當中。 8 揚尼和揚布列怎樣抵擋摩西，這些人也照樣抵擋真理；他們理性敗壞，在信仰上經不起考驗。 9 然而，他們不能再進一步了，因為他們的無知會在眾人面前顯露出來，就像那兩個人一樣。
聖經都是神所啟示的
10 至於你，你跟從了我的教導、品行、心意、信仰、寬容、愛心、忍耐， 11 以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所遭受的逼迫和苦難——我忍受了何等的逼迫啊！可是主救我脫離了這一切。 12 其實，所有想要在基督耶穌裡過敬神生活的，也都會受到逼迫； 13 而惡人和迷惑人的會越來越壞，他們迷惑人，自己也被迷惑。 14 至於你，你當持守所學到、所確信的，因為你知道是從哪些人學的； 15 並且你從年幼就知道了聖經，這聖經能使你有智慧，藉著在基督耶穌裡的信仰，以至於救恩。 16 聖經都是神所默示的，對於教導、責備、規正、在義中的訓練都是有益處的， 17 要使屬神的人完備，為一切美善的工作，裝備齊全。
