¹⁴ But you must ^(A)continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, ¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known ^(B)the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

^16 (C)All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, ^(D)and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for ^[a]instruction in righteousness, ^17 (E)that the man of God may be complete, ^(F)thoroughly equipped for every good work.

²⁰ knowing this first, that ^(A)no prophecy of Scripture is of any private ^[a]interpretation, ²¹ for ^(B)prophecy never came by the will of man, ^(C)but ^[b]holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Be Steadfast

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent ^(A)to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; ¹⁵ and consider that ^(B)the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, ¹⁶ as also in all his ^(C)epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the ^(D)rest of the Scriptures.
