2 Timothy 3:14-4:4
Christian Standard Bible
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you,(A) 15 and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures,(B) which are able to give you wisdom for salvation(C) through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God[a](D) and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.(E)
Fulfill Your Ministry
4 I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge(F) the living and the dead,(G) and because of his appearing and his kingdom:(H) 2 Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine,(I) but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear. 4 They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.(J)

Another said,[a] “What should I cry out?”
“All humanity is grass,(A)
and all its goodness is like the flower of the field.(B)
7 The grass withers, the flowers fade
when the breath[b] of the Lord blows on them;[c]
indeed, the people are grass.
8 The grass withers, the flowers fade,(C)
but the word of our God remains forever.”(D)

17 Sanctify(A) them by the truth; (B) your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world,(C) I also have sent them into the world. 19 I sanctify myself for them, so that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word. 21 May they all be one,(D) as you, Father, are in me and I am in you.(E) May they also be[a] in us, so that the world may believe you sent me. 22 I have given them the glory(F) you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me,(G) so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved(H) them as you have loved me.(I)
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,(J) so that they will see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the world’s foundation. 25 Righteous Father, the world has not known you. However, I have known you,(K) and they have known that you sent me. 26 I made your name(L) known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.”(M)

Hearing and Doing the Word
19 My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger,(A) 20 for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. 21 Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent,[a] humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.(B)
22 But(C) be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face[b] in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was. 25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who works—this person will be blessed in what he does.(D)
