2 Timothy 1:8-13

⁸Therefore ^(A)do not be ashamed of ^(B)the testimony about our Lord, nor of ^(C)me his prisoner, but ^(D)share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, ⁹^(E)who saved us and ^(F)called us to^[a] a holy calling, ^(G)not because of our works but because of ^(H)his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus ^(I)before the ages began,^[b] ¹⁰and which now has ^(J)been manifested through ^(K)the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, ^(L)who abolished death and ^(M)brought life and ^(N)immortality to light through the gospel, ¹¹^(O)for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, ¹²^(P)which is why I suffer as I do. But ^(Q)I am not ashamed, for ^(R)I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until ^(S)that day ^(T)what has been entrusted to me.^[c] ¹³^(U)Follow ^(V)the pattern of ^(W)the sound^[d] words ^(X)that you have heard from me, in ^(Y)the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

⁸Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

⁹Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

¹⁰But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

¹¹Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

¹²For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

¹³Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
