² To Timothy, ^(A)my beloved child:

^(B)Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Guard the Deposit Entrusted to You

^3 (C)I thank God ^(D)whom I serve, as did my ancestors, ^(E)with a clear conscience, as I remember you ^(F)constantly in my prayers night and day. ^4 (G)As I remember your tears, ^(H)I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy. ⁵ I am reminded of ^(I)your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and ^(J)your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.
