⁷For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,^(A) but gives us power,^(B) love and self-discipline.

¹⁵This thou knowest, that all those who are in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

¹⁵You know that everyone in the province of Asia^(A) has deserted me,^(B) including Phygelus and Hermogenes.

³Endure thou therefore hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

³Join with me in suffering,^(A) like a good soldier^(B) of Christ Jesus.
