Preach the Word
4 I (A)charge you [a]therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, (B)who will judge the living and the dead [b]at His appearing and His kingdom: 2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. (C)Convince, (D)rebuke, (E)exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3 (F)For the time will come when they will not endure (G)sound doctrine, (H)but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and (I)be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, (J)endure afflictions, do the work of (K)an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Paul’s Valedictory
6 For (L)I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of (M)my departure is at hand. 7 (N)I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me (O)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous (P)Judge, will give to me (Q)on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

9 Be diligent to come to me quickly; 10 for (R)Demas has forsaken me, (S)having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Get (T)Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry. 12 And (U)Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus. 13 Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come—and the books, especially the parchments.
14 (V)Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works. 15 You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words.
16 At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. (W)May it not be charged against them.
The Lord Is Faithful
17 (X)But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, (Y)so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered (Z)out of the mouth of the lion. 18 (AA)And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. (AB)To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

19 Greet (AC)Prisca and Aquila, and the household of (AD)Onesiphorus. 20 (AE)Erastus stayed in Corinth, but (AF)Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick.
21 Do your utmost to come before winter.

4 Delante de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, que vendrá glorioso como Rey a juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos, te encargo mucho 2 que prediques el mensaje, y que insistas cuando sea oportuno y aun cuando no lo sea. Convence, reprende y anima, enseñando con toda paciencia. 3 Porque va a llegar el tiempo en que la gente no soportará la sana enseñanza; más bien, según sus propios caprichos, se buscarán un montón de maestros que sólo les enseñen lo que ellos quieran oír. 4 Darán la espalda a la verdad y harán caso a toda clase de cuentos. 5 Pero tú conserva siempre el buen juicio, soporta los sufrimientos, dedícate a anunciar el evangelio, cumple bien con tu trabajo.
6 Yo ya estoy para ser ofrecido en sacrificio; ya se acerca la hora de mi muerte. 7 He peleado la buena batalla, he llegado al término de la carrera, me he mantenido fiel. 8 Ahora me espera la corona merecida que el Señor, el Juez justo, me dará en aquel día. Y no me la dará solamente a mí, sino también a todos los que con amor esperan su venida gloriosa.

9 Haz lo posible por venir pronto a verme; 10 pues Demas, que amaba más las cosas de esta vida, me ha abandonado y se ha ido a Tesalónica. Crescente se ha ido a la región de Galacia, y Tito a la de Dalmacia. 11 Solamente Lucas está conmigo. Busca a Marcos y tráelo contigo, porque puede ser una ayuda para mí en el trabajo. 12 A Tíquico lo mandé a Éfeso. 13 Cuando vengas, tráeme la capa que dejé en Tróade, en casa de Carpo; también los libros, y especialmente los pergaminos.
14 Alejandro el herrero se ha portado muy mal conmigo; el Señor le pagará conforme a lo que ha hecho. 15 Cuídate tú también de él, porque se ha puesto muy en contra de nuestro mensaje.
16 En mi primera defensa ante las autoridades, nadie me ayudó; todos me abandonaron. Espero que Dios no se lo tome en cuenta. 17 Pero el Señor sí me ayudó y me dio fuerzas, de modo que pude llevar a cabo la predicación del mensaje de salvación y hacer que lo oyeran todos los paganos. Así el Señor me libró de la boca del león, 18 y me librará de todo mal, y me salvará llevándome a su reino celestial. ¡Gloria a él para siempre! Amén.

19 Saludos a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la familia de Onesíforo. 20 Erasto se quedó en Corinto, y a Trófimo lo dejé enfermo en Mileto. 21 Procura venir antes del invierno. Te mandan saludos Eubulo, Pudente, Lino, Claudia y todos los hermanos.
22 Que el Señor Jesucristo esté contigo, y que Dios derrame su gracia sobre todos ustedes.
