Not Ashamed of the Gospel

^8 (A)Therefore do not be ashamed of ^(B)the testimony of our Lord, nor of me ^(C)His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

Living Before God Our Father

¹³ Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

³ You therefore must ^(A)endure^[a] hardship ^(B)as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ And say to ^(A)Archippus, “Take heed to ^(B)the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

The Man of God and the Word of God

^10 (A)But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, ¹¹ persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me ^(B)at Antioch, ^(C)at Iconium, ^(D)at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And ^(E)out of them all the Lord delivered me. ¹² Yes, and ^(F)all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Take Heed to Your Ministry

¹² Let no one ^[a]despise your youth, but be an ^(A)example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, ^[b]in spirit, in faith, in purity.

¹⁵ Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.

⁸ On the next day we ^[a]who were Paul’s companions departed and came to ^(A)Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip ^(B)the evangelist, ^(C)who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.
