¹⁰ but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ,^[a] who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.^(A)

² this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us^(A)—

²⁶ but is now disclosed and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the gentiles, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith^(A)—

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.^[a]

¹⁴ Since, therefore, the children share flesh and blood, he himself likewise shared the same things, so that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,^{(A) 15} and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by the fear of death.^(B)

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all,^[a](A)

²⁶ The last enemy to be destroyed is death.^(A)

⁷ to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life,

²⁰ He was destined before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.^{(A) 21} Through him you have come to trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your trust and hope are in God.

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, for the sake of the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,
