Final Greetings

¹⁶ May the Lord of peace^(A) himself give you peace always in every way.^(B) The Lord be with all of you.^{(C) 17} I, Paul, am writing this greeting with my own hand,^(D) which is an authenticating mark in every letter; this is how I write. ¹⁸ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

⁶ Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which surpasses^(A) all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.^(B)

The Christian Life

¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved,^(A) put on compassion, kindness,^(B) humility,^(C) gentleness,^(D) and patience,^{(E) 13} bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.^{(F) 14} Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. ¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called^(G) in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. ¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,^[a] singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. ¹⁷ And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name^(H) of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
