2 Thessalonians 1
King James Version
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Od Pavla, Silvana i Timoteja solunskoj crkvi, koja je u Bogu, našem Ocu, i Gospodinu Isusu Kristu.
2 Neka s vama budu milost i mir od Boga, našega Oca, i Gospodina Isusa Krista.
3 Braćo i sestre, uvijek moramo zahvaljivati Bogu za vas. Tako i dolikuje jer vaša vjera sve više raste. Raste i ljubav koju imate jedni za druge. 4 Zato se mi pred drugim Božjim crkvama hvalimo vama, zbog postojanosti i vjere koju imate u svim progonstvima i nevoljama što ih podnosite. 5 Sve je to dokaz Božjega pravednog suda. On želi da se pokažete dostojnima Božjega kraljevstva—zbog kojeg sada i trpite. 6 Bog će učiniti što je pravedno. Onima koji vam stvaraju nevolje, uzvratit će nevoljama, 7 a vama će dati odmor, kao i nama. Bit će to kad se Gospodin Isus pojavi s Neba sa svojim moćnim anđelima. 8 Doći će s plamenom vatrom i kazniti one koji ne priznaju Boga i one koji se ne pokoravaju Radosnoj vijesti našega Gospodina Isusa. 9 Oni će platiti kaznu vječne propasti—bit će isključeni iz Gospodinove prisutnosti i njegove slavne moći 10 onoga dana kada pokaže svoje veličanstvo među svetima. To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
2 (A)Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s Final Judgment and Glory
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, 4 so that (B)we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God (C)for your patience and faith (D)in all your persecutions and [a]tribulations that you endure, 5 which is (E)manifest[b] evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, (F)for which you also suffer; 6 (G)since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with [c]tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled (H)rest with us when (I)the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 (J)These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and (K)from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, (L)to be (M)glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who [d]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
