⁵ Don’t you remember that I told you about all this when I was with you?

¹⁵ so I will work hard to make sure you always remember these things after I am gone.

¹⁰ Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

¹¹ And you know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

²¹ envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

³¹ Watch out! Remember the three years I was with you—my constant watch and care over you night and day, and my many tears for you.

⁴ Yes, I’m telling you these things now, so that when they happen, you will remember my warning. I didn’t tell you earlier because I was going to be with you for a while longer.

⁶ He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, ⁷ that the Son of Man^[a] must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”

¹⁸ ‘You have eyes—can’t you see? You have ears—can’t you hear?’^[a] Don’t you remember anything at all?

⁹ Don’t you understand even yet? Don’t you remember the 5,000 I fed with five loaves, and the baskets of leftovers you picked up?
