¹² that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but ^(A)had pleasure in unrighteousness.

³² who, ^(A)knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things ^(B)are deserving of death, not only do the same but also ^(C)approve of those who practice them.

⁷ Because ^(A)the ^[a]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, ^(B)nor indeed can be. ⁸ So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

^16 (A)He who believes and is baptized will be saved; ^(B)but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Behave Like a Christian

^9 (A)Let love be without hypocrisy. ^(B)Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

⁸ but to those who are self-seeking and ^(A)do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,

^13 (A)and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure ^(B)to ^[a]carouse in the daytime. ^(C)They are spots and blemishes, ^[b]carousing in their own deceptions while ^(D)they feast with you, ¹⁴ having eyes full of ^[c]adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. ^(E)They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. ¹⁵ They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of ^(F)Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

⁹ For ^(A)God did not appoint us to wrath, ^(B)but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

^36 (A)He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the ^(B)wrath of God abides on him.”
