⁸ Now therefore so say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, ^(A)I took thee from the sheepcote following the sheep, that thou mightest be ruler over my people, over Israel.

⁷¹ Even from behind the ewes with young, brought he him to feed his people in Jacob, and his inheritance in Israel.

²¹ Therefore mine hand shall be established with him, and mine arm shall strengthen him.
