14 Yo le seré á él padre, y él me será á mí hijo. Y si él hiciere mal, yo le castigaré con vara de hombres, y con azotes de hijos de hombres;
15 Empero mi misericordia no se apartaré de él, como la aparté de Saúl, al cual quité de delante de ti.
16 Y será afirmada tu casa y tu reino para siempre delante de tu rostro; y tu trono será estable eternalmente.

Y cuando cometa una falta, yo lo castigaré y lo azotaré como todo padre lo hace con su hijo, 15 pero no le retiraré mi bondad como se la retiré a Saúl, al cual quité para ponerte a ti en su lugar. 16 Tu dinastía y tu reino estarán para siempre seguros bajo mi protección, y también tu trono quedará establecido para siempre.”»

14 I will be his father, and he will be my son.(A) When he does wrong, I will punish him(B) with a rod(C) wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. 15 But my love will never be taken away from him,(D) as I took it away from Saul,(E) whom I removed from before you. 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me[a]; your throne(F) will be established(G) forever.(H)’”
