David Anointed King of Israel
5 Then all the tribes of Israel (A)came to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, (B)we are your bone and flesh. 2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, (C)it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And the Lord said to you, (D)‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince[a] over Israel.’” 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, (E)and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron (F)before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.

بَنُو إسْرَائِيلَ يُبَايِعُونَ دَاوُدَ مَلِكًا
5 وَجَاءَتْ عَشَائِرُ إسْرَائِيلَ كُلُّهَا إلَى حَبْرُونَ،[a] وَقَالُوا لِدَاوُدَ: «نَحْنُ لَحْمُكَ وَدَمُكَ! 2 حَتَّى عِنْدَمَا كَانَ شَاوُلُ مَلِكًا عَلَيْنَا، أنْتَ الَّذِي قَادَنَا إلَى المَعْرَكَةِ، وَأرْجَعَ إسْرَائِيلَ مِنَ الحَرْبِ بِانْتِصَارٍ. وَاللهُ نَفْسُهُ قَالَ لَكَ إنَّكَ سَتَكُونُ رَاعِيَ شَعْبي إسْرَائِيلَ، وَسَتَكُونُ حَاكِمَ إسْرَائِيلَ.»
3 فَجَاءَ قَادَةُ بَنِي إسْرَائِيلَ كُلُّهُمْ لِلِقَاءِ المَلِكِ دَاوُدَ فِي حَبْرُونَ. وَهُنَاكَ قَطَعَ المَلِكُ مَعَهُمْ عَهْدًا فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ. ثُمَّ مَسَحَ القَادَةُ دَاوُدَ مَلِكًا عَلَى إسْرَائِيلَ.

David Becomes King Over Israel(A)
5 All the tribes of Israel(B) came to David at Hebron and said, “We are your own flesh and blood.(C) 2 In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns.(D) And the Lord said(E) to you, ‘You will shepherd(F) my people Israel, and you will become their ruler.(G)’”
3 When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a covenant(H) with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed(I) David king over Israel.
