19 Entonces David fue a hacer lo que Gad le había dicho por orden del Señor. 20 Arauna estaba mirando a lo lejos, cuando vio que el rey y sus servidores se dirigían hacia él. Entonces Arauna se adelantó, e inclinándose delante del rey 21 le dijo:
—¿A qué se debe la visita de Su Majestad a su criado?
David respondió:
—Quiero comprarte el lugar donde trillas el trigo, para construir allí un altar al Señor, a fin de que la peste se retire del pueblo.

King James Version
19 And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the Lord commanded.
20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.
21 And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the Lord, that the plague may be stayed from the people.

New International Version
19 So David went up, as the Lord had commanded through Gad. 20 When Araunah looked and saw the king and his officials coming toward him, he went out and bowed down before the king with his face to the ground.
21 Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?”
“To buy your threshing floor,” David answered, “so I can build an altar to the Lord, that the plague on the people may be stopped.”(A)
