2 Samuel 19:13-15
International Standard Version
13 Then ask Amasa, ‘Aren’t you my own flesh and blood? So may God deal with me, no matter how severely, if from this day forward you don’t take Joab’s place as commander of my army.’
14 By doing things like this,[a] he persuaded all the men of Judah to unite in support of him.[b] They sent the king this message: “Come on back, you and all of your army!” 15 So the king returned to Israel as far as the Jordan River.[c]

(B)God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me [a]continually in place of Joab.’ ” 14 So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah, (C)just as the heart of one man, so that they sent this word to the king: “Return, you and all your servants!”
15 Then the king returned and came to the Jordan. And Judah came to (D)Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to escort the king (E)across the Jordan.
