26 vio el atalaya a otro que corría; y dio voces el atalaya al portero, diciendo: He aquí otro hombre que corre solo. Y el rey dijo: Este también es mensajero. 27 Y el atalaya volvió a decir: Me parece el correr del primero como el correr de Ahimaas hijo de Sadoc. Y respondió el rey: Ese es hombre de bien, y viene con buenas nuevas.
28 Entonces Ahimaas dijo en alta voz al rey: Paz. Y se inclinó a tierra delante del rey, y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová Dios tuyo, que ha entregado a los hombres que habían levantado sus manos contra mi señor el rey.

26 el centinela se dio cuenta de que otro hombre corría detrás de él, así que le anunció al guarda de la puerta:
—¡Por ahí viene otro hombre corriendo solo!
—Ese también debe de traer buenas noticias —dijo el rey.
27 El centinela añadió:
—Me parece que el primero corre como Ajimaz, hijo de Sadoc.
—Es un buen hombre —comentó el rey—; seguro que trae buenas noticias.
28 Ajimaz llegó y saludó al rey postrándose rostro en tierra ante él y dijo:
—¡Bendito sea el Señor su Dios, pues nos ha entregado a los que se habían rebelado en contra de mi señor el rey!

26 Then the watchman saw another runner, and he called down to the gatekeeper, “Look, another man running alone!”
The king said, “He must be bringing good news,(A) too.”
27 The watchman said, “It seems to me that the first one runs like(B) Ahimaaz son of Zadok.”
“He’s a good man,” the king said. “He comes with good news.”
28 Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, “All is well!” He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, “Praise be to the Lord your God! He has delivered up those who lifted their hands against my lord the king.”
