26 vio el atalaya a otro que corría; y dio voces el atalaya al portero, diciendo: He aquí otro hombre que corre solo. Y el rey dijo: Este también es mensajero. 27 Y el atalaya volvió a decir: Me parece el correr del primero como el correr de Ahimaas hijo de Sadoc. Y respondió el rey: Ese es hombre de bien, y viene con buenas nuevas.
28 Entonces Ahimaas dijo en alta voz al rey: Paz. Y se inclinó a tierra delante del rey, y dijo: Bendito sea Jehová Dios tuyo, que ha entregado a los hombres que habían levantado sus manos contra mi señor el rey.

26 el centinela vio a otro hombre que corría, y le gritó al guardián de la puerta:
—¡Viene otro hombre corriendo!
—También ha de traer buenas noticias —respondió el rey.
27 El centinela añadió:
—Por su modo de correr, me parece que el primero es Ahimaas, el hijo de Sadoc.
—Él es un buen hombre —comentó el rey—, y seguramente traerá buenas noticias.
28 Ahimaas se acercó, e inclinándose hasta el suelo delante del rey, lo saludó y le dijo:
—Bendito sea el Señor, el Dios de Su Majestad, porque ha quitado de en medio a los que se rebelaron contra Su Majestad.

26 Then the watchman saw another runner, and he called down to the gatekeeper, “Look, another man running alone!”
The king said, “He must be bringing good news,(A) too.”
27 The watchman said, “It seems to me that the first one runs like(B) Ahimaaz son of Zadok.”
“He’s a good man,” the king said. “He comes with good news.”
28 Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, “All is well!” He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, “Praise be to the Lord your God! He has delivered up those who lifted their hands against my lord the king.”
