¹⁴ For we ^(A)will surely die and become like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. Yet God does not ^(B)take away a life; but He ^(C)devises means, so that His banished ones are not ^[a]expelled from Him.

Free from Indwelling Sin

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, ^(A)who^[a] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. ² For ^(B)the law of ^(C)the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from ^(D)the law of sin and death.

¹¹ And such were ^(A)some of you. ^(B)But you were washed, but you were ^[a]sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

¹² in whom we have boldness and access ^(A)with confidence through faith in Him.

²² let us ^(A)draw near with a true heart ^(B)in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. ²³ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for ^(C)He who promised is faithful.
