¹² So David commanded the young men, and they killed them; they cut off their hands and feet and hung their bodies beside the pool at Hebron. But the head of Ishbaal^[a] they took and buried in the tomb of Abner at Hebron.^(A)

³² They buried Abner at Hebron. The king lifted up his voice and wept at the grave of Abner, and all the people wept.

¹⁵ Then David called one of the young men and said, “Come here and strike him down.” So he struck him down, and he died.^(A)

⁹ he gave them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they impaled them on the mountain before the Lord. The seven of them perished together. They were put to death in the first days of harvest, at the beginning of barley harvest.

You must not defile the land that the Lord your God is giving you for possession.^(A)
