²¹ And Saul said, “Blessed are you of the Lord, for you have compassion on me.

³² Then David said to Abigail: ^(A)“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me! ³³ And blessed is your advice and blessed are you, because you have ^(B)kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself with my own hand.

¹⁹ For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him get away safely? Therefore may the Lord reward you with good for what you have done to me this day.

²⁰ Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, ^(A)“Blessed be he of the Lord, who ^(B)has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!” And Naomi said to her, “This man is a relation of ours, ^(C)one of ^[a]our close relatives.”

¹⁰ Then he said, ^(A)“Blessed are you of the Lord, my daughter! For you have shown more kindness at the end than ^(B)at the beginning, in that you did not go after young men, whether poor or rich.

⁸ And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, ^(A)“Go, return each to her mother’s house. ^(B)The Lord deal kindly with you, as you have dealt ^(C)with the dead and with me.
