³² The king said to the Cushite, ^(A)“Is it well with the young man Absalom?” And the Cushite answered, ^(B)“May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up against you for evil be like that young man.”

^(D)And the land had rest for forty years.

²⁶ Now then, my lord, ^(A)as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, because ^(B)the Lord has restrained you from bloodguilt and from ^(C)saving with your own hand, now then ^(D)let your enemies and those who seek to do evil to my lord be as Nabal.

Daniel Interprets the Second Dream

¹⁹ Then Daniel, whose name was ^(A)Belteshazzar, was ^(B)dismayed for a while, and ^(C)his thoughts alarmed him. The king answered and said, “Belteshazzar, let not the dream or the interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered and said, “My lord, ^(D)may the dream be for those who hate you ^(E)and its interpretation for your enemies!
